To generate LOD2 shapefile, advance 3D city modeling software such as ArcGIS CityEngine can be used. ArcGIS CityEngine is a specialized 3D city modeling tool used frequently to quickly generate wide scale geo-referenced 3D city models in different LODs based on GIS datasets and procedural modeling technique. More info on using ArcGIS CityEngine to generate LOD2 shapefiles and its conversion to CityGML 2.0 LOD2 is documented [here](https://transfer.hft-stuttgart.de/gitlab/coors/3d-stadtmodelle/-/wikis/EN/CityGML-Tutorial/chapter%207:%20ArcGIS%20CityEngine). >If your shapefiles are in WGS 84 (EPSG:4326) then first reproject it to a projected coordinate system (PCS) that is relevant to your location using FME transformer Reprojector. If the shapefiles are not reprojected to a PCS, solids having wrong orientation will be generated.
